The Lucid Body is a psycho-physical acting technique offering a clear, practical process for the curious actor. Drawing on the body’s centres of emotion and impulse, Jungian psychology, archetypes, and principles from yoga, modern dance, and neuroscience, the Lucid Body supports actors to recognise and release habitual patterns and access new physical and emotional possibilities.
The first half of Lucid Body Basics focuses on transforming the habitual body into new parts of self. We use the chakra energy centres to diagnose our Persona, and then utilise this new physical language to create layered, complex characters. The second half of the series will investigate the larger energies of the archetypes, the active space between two people, the unmet need of the child, and the Shadow self. Actors will leave the workshop with tangible tools to diagnose and embody a plethora of characters sourced from within.
Melbourne Series: Levels 1 & 2

Feb 17, 19, 24, 26
